To all 2*, Novice , and Friday AE & BYEH competitors   I am so very sorry we had to abandon your classes at this year’s Chatsworth Horse Trials. The situation changed pretty much hourly with un-forecast torrential rain on Thursday causing really massive problems particularly with the lorry parking (in many cases we had 3 tractors towing one lorry which put an enormous strain on the parking teams).   At Chatsworth we do have event insurance so will be refunding as much, over and above the BE minimum refunds, as the insurance company is prepared to pay. We are working with them now to finalise this but please be aware it can take a while, especially as most events insure through just a couple of companies so they are probably incredibly busy at the moment working their way through all the claims.   This is however a top priority for us and we will keep the pressure on.   We will update you as soon as we can.    

Held at Chatsworth House, by kind permission of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, the event is ever-popular within the eventing calendar and offers a vast range of competitions for all levels of competitor.
