What is the Winter Series?
The winter series comprises of two competition opportunities – Arena Eventing, which combines show jumping and cross country fences on a surface, and Harry Hall One Club ACE - Anyone Can Event, an Arena style eventing competition designed to appeal to riders of all ages and experience
Both these competition formats are open to members and non-members of BE.

WHICH ONE IS SUITED TO ME?
Looking forward to taking part in the British Eventing Winter Series over the next few months but not sure which class to enter? Here is our simple guide to help decide which competition would be best for you.
The BE Winter Series is made up of two competition opportunities for the 2024/2025 period:
- Arena Eventing – this hugely popular competition format, which combines show jumping and cross country fences, returns with qualifiers for the 2024 Championships.
- Harry Hall One Club Anyone Can Event (known as ACE) – is very similar to Arena Eventing but with knock-down cross country fences. This, together with a lower starting height and lower minimum age, is designed to be a stepping stone to Arena Eventing, encouraging more people have a go at eventing.

*Eligible for competitors in the year they reach their 12th birthday.
**Please note you have to be a BE member in order to compete in the Championships.
AE & ACE are timed but stopwatches are not permitted.
Body Protector rule change: From the 1st January 2024 you can no longer use a BETA Level 3 body protector with 2009 on the label. The body protector needs to be BETA level 3 2018 or later.
